comic

Author's Note: I like photocopiers. The concert hall I got out of an architectual magazine; the music really is Beethoven, though I forget which concerto. Might not even be a piano concerto, actually.

This strip, with its cut-and-paste backgrounds, was supposed to be a time saver. By the time I finished doodling with the characters' perspective and the chairs they're sitting in, then lining up and pasting in all the photocopies.....

It wasn't a time saver at all.

comic

Author's Note: Introduction of Victor. Victor wasn't supposed to be any part of Jackie's Fridge, so it's kind of odd I'm axeing two that have been here since the beginning in favour of him. That's how it goes, I guess.

Here we see a big difference between the Jackie's Fridge Shannon and the real life Shannon (my Jackie's Fridge/JoBeth! webmaster). The JF Shannon is very nervous around people. He likes them fine, but he never knows the "right" thing to say, and it usually takes him a bit to relax. When he met Melissa, he could see she was NOT enjoying her situation, and his desire to help out overcame his nervousness.

The real Shannon is very friendly, outgoing and charismatic. I don't think he can SAY the wrong thing in conversation, though I believe his wife Carey could give a few examples to the contrary.
