comic

Author's Note: This turns out to be foreshadowing. Since this strip ran, I've decided to add a guinea pig to the Jackie's Fridge series. He's evil and always attempts to take over the world by swallowing the souls of people around him. He's too stupid to get very far, though.

Anyway. Becky had a guinea pig (now deceased, but no less evil) that Joey and I would constantly make fun of. It was nasty, mangy and stupid. Joey and I hated it and it made our lives miserable. They are awful, awful little creatures, put on this Earth to torment rational, thinking beings, such as rocks.

So. The strip. I like the art, even though it's a departure from the regular style (with the larger head, wider-set eyes and smaller body, it looks like something out of Road Waffles). The pig itself was a doodle that happened to turn out. I re-drew it in the first two panels and lightboxed the original doodle for the last panel.

Pig is evil.

I like Jackie's take in the second panel, and I like the goofy nature of the strip. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue Pig-related goofiness in the future, once he's a regular character.

My favourite visual gag (which I forgot about until now): the cage directly behind Jackie has a sign in it that says, "Air, $5.30".
