We're sitting on the counter top, right next to the sink and oven.  You can't see 'em, but there are cupboards right above the countertop; you can get a good look at them in the second or third Jackie's Fridge strip, where she's on the counter (pretty much seeing the same view as this) with the phone, trying unsuccessfully to reach that moving company.
